Voting this morning, yay! My mom and I got in line around 6:40 am, and were finished voting and out of there around 8:00 am! Luckily, this is right across the street from us.
- My voting outfit consisted of my excellent and badass Feminist Killjoy trucker hat and my anti-Prop 8/pro-Doctor/TARDIS shirt. Guess how I voted?
- The line went around the corner, and then down the sidewalk into the elementary school gym. When we left, the line was longer than it was when we arrived. Also, it was quite cold.
- Which is why the adorable fourth grade fundraiser was so nice! They were selling coffee and baked goods to help them have a field trip to Colonial Williamsburg. How cute!
- DEFINITELY THE HIGHLIGHT: We were waiting in the cold to vote, and who should appear but Representative Moran! And of course my mom told him the story of how excited I’d been to meet him when accompanying her one election day when I was little, and he was so nice, he clearly really appreciated the story. And when he saw me taking a picture, he offered to pose with me, and a nice woman behind us in line took this picture of us!
