Fun night. :)

Highlights from watching the movie (only vaguely spoilery):

  • me squeeing every time Alex Kingston was on screen
  • me saying that it had better not end like the Graduate (when they’ve made it but then their faces just fall—it’s devastating)
  • me really REALLY needing to pee but having to wait until after because we got there a few minutes into the movie
  • me telling the shower scene to end because the running water was not doing great things for the state of my bladder 
  • me whisper-yelling that no, that’s not what I meant, I just wanted the water to stop, NOT THE WHOLE MOVIE!

Highlights from the rest of the night:

  • friends
  • walking walking walking
  • the first chocolate place was not the place it used to be, and the second was just empty
  • so we ended up at this pricey grocery place
  • and got delicious things from friendly people
  • asking for a cannoli, momentarily freaking because of how many times Max has insisted that the singular is actually cannolo, then deciding to screw it and not care about being wrong (Max is very silly about this)
  • and Laura and Todd were having their wedding reception upstairs, but nipped down for some photos with the produce while we ate our desserts
  • cruise control
  • sitting and reading with Adele in the background
  • The Girl in the Fireplace
  • David Tennant
