“…she stopped paying close attention to his words and when at red lights, examined the rain drops spattering on the windshield so intently that she almost stared right through them. Each drop seemed stuck on the glass, until another drop landed on it and they rolled down the window together, ending in a climactic splash.”

Happy birthday for yesterday! (I think? Timezones!) Hope it was awesome, because you’re awesome. (:

My friend posted this terrifying/wonderful video on my wall today, because

IT’S MY BIRTHDAY!

Friend’s birthday at a pizza place/brewery in Philly.

I made the cupcakes, which took some time but were totally worth it (they were even worth the whole being locked out of my room and being rescued without realizing it such that I thought I was crazy when I tried my door and it WORKED): multicolored, dark-chocolate-kiss-centered, nutella-frosted.

And the pizza was delicious.

And the friends were lovely.

And one of them is finally 21!

Happy birthday!

Day 11- Another picture of you and your friends

…it’s going to be tricky to find another good one…

Got it.

Here is a picture of my 14th birthday party (which was 7 years and 4 months ago yesterday).

I’m on the left, Olivia (whom I’ve known since kindergarten but stopped being close with in sixth grade and more or less stopped talking to—for no particular reason, no falling out or anything—by high school) is on the right, and Rosemarie (who I basically only knew in middle school, because then we went to different high schools) is at the top.  There were several other girls at the party, but this picture had me in it, so.

The theme of my party was the 1970s because I like classic rock.

42. I was born on St. Patrick’s Day.

Oh.  Me, too!

I had a fun time at my friend Paul’s birthday party tonight.

In a game of kings that we played, we had to repeat the last word of every sentence, and taking a drink involved removing the little green man from the rim of the cup and winking.  So we ended up saying something like this a lot: “You forgot about the little green man man!  And to wink wink!”

Happy birthday, Paul!

I am having an amazing birthday.

Last night with the flatmates was so much fun, and today I bought myself an inexpensive floral dress, a belt to wear with it, an inexpensive lacy pink bra, an eyeshadow palette with a bazillion colors, and thrifted boots, all of which I am now wearing.

And Rachel made a little jar with flowers in it for me (and also for Andrea, since we have the same birthday—what’re the odds?), and today is just so wonderful, so far.

Not to mention the fun of turning 21 on St. Patrick’s Day, never mind that the drinking age where I currently am is 18.
